Privacy Policy

Dayly Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2, 2026

Dayly is operated by The Wavering Line LLC (“Dayly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Dayly mobile app, Dayly widgets, daylybudget.com, the Dayly App Store listing, customer support, and related services.

Dayly is designed to help you understand your budget, track spending, view insights, receive reminders, and manage optional Pro features. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide in the App

Dayly may store information you enter or generate while using the app, including:

  • Monthly budget amounts.
  • Spending entries and expense history.
  • Budget calculator inputs, such as income, housing, bills, subscriptions, debt payments, savings goals, and other fixed expenses.
  • Reminder preferences, such as reminder times and whether a second reminder is enabled.
  • Budget streaks, daily totals, monthly summaries, pacing, insights, and recap information generated from your app activity.
  • Pro entitlement status, such as whether Dayly Pro is unlocked.

This information is used to operate Dayly’s budgeting, insights, history, reminders, widgets, and Pro features.

Local Storage and Widgets

Dayly stores app data locally on your device using Apple-provided storage. Some app data may be shared locally between the Dayly app and Dayly widgets through an Apple app group so the widget can show your current budget status.

We do not require you to create an account to use Dayly. Based on the current app design, your budget and spending information is not uploaded to a Dayly account or Dayly-operated server.

Your device settings, backups, iCloud, or Apple services may separately affect how local app data is backed up, restored, synced, or protected. Those services are controlled by Apple and your device settings.

Purchases

Dayly may offer paid features, such as Dayly Pro, through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Dayly may receive or access purchase-related information from Apple that is necessary to provide paid features, verify entitlement status, restore purchases, process refunds or revocations, and maintain access to purchased features. This may include product identifiers, transaction status, purchase or expiration status, and related App Store transaction information.

Apple’s handling of payment and App Store information is governed by Apple’s privacy policies and App Store terms.

Notifications

Dayly may ask for permission to send notifications. If you allow notifications, Dayly can schedule local budget reminders on your device, such as daily reminders based on your selected reminder settings and budget activity.

You can change notification permissions at any time in your device settings. Dayly does not need to sell or share your notification permission status to provide local reminders.

Website and Support Communications

If you visit daylybudget.com, contact support, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, message content, support request details, and any files or screenshots you send.

Websites and hosting providers may also automatically process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and timestamps. This information may be used to provide the website, maintain security, understand basic usage, and respond to issues.

Analytics, Diagnostics, and App Store Data

Dayly may receive aggregated or diagnostic information from Apple, such as App Store Connect analytics, crash reports, performance data, purchase reports, download metrics, and other information Apple makes available to developers. This information is generally provided in aggregated or diagnostic form and is used to understand app performance, improve reliability, and maintain the app.

Dayly does not currently require third-party advertising tracking to function. If we add additional analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostics tools in the future, we will use them to improve the app, maintain reliability, understand feature usage, and protect the service, and we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide app features, including budgets, expense tracking, history, insights, reminders, widgets, and Pro features.
  • Calculate daily budgets, monthly pacing, streaks, summaries, and other budgeting insights.
  • Process, verify, restore, and manage in-app purchases through Apple.
  • Respond to support requests and other communications.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app and website.
  • Comply with legal obligations, App Store requirements, and enforce applicable terms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share or disclose information in the following limited situations:

  • With Apple, as necessary for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions or lifetime purchases, refunds, analytics, diagnostics, and app review processes.
  • With service providers that help operate our website, email, support, analytics, diagnostics, hosting, security, or other business functions, if those services are used.
  • If required by law, legal process, court order, government request, or to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the public.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

Data Retention

App data stored locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it, reset it, uninstall the app, or change device or backup settings. Data included in device backups may remain in those backups according to your Apple and device settings.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, improve support, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights.

Purchase and App Store records may be retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies and may be available to us for as long as necessary to manage purchases, entitlements, refunds, and reporting.

Your Choices and Controls

You can:

  • Update or remove budget and spending information within the app where controls are available.
  • Delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data from that device.
  • Manage notifications in iOS Settings.
  • Restore or manage purchases through Apple’s App Store tools.
  • Contact us to request help with privacy questions or support communications.

Because Dayly does not currently require a user account, we may not be able to identify or access app data stored only on your device.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information we handle. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, backups, passcode, and any information you choose to enter into Dayly.

Children’s Privacy

Dayly is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at support@daylybudget.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information as required by applicable law.

International Users

Dayly may be available in multiple regions. If you use Dayly or contact us from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Third-Party Services and Links

Dayly may link to or rely on third-party services, including Apple services, App Store pages, payment processing, website hosting, email, support, analytics, diagnostics, and other operational tools. Third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy where it is made available, such as on daylybudget.com, the App Store listing, or inside the app.
